FAQS
1
What types of boxes are there?

There are various box structures available, including sky-top boxes, drawer boxes, book-shaped boxes, airplane boxes, mailer boxes, folding decorative boxes, special-shaped boxes, food boxes, and gift boxes. The appropriate structure depends on the product, intended use, required protection, presentation, transportation, and budget. Material selection is also an important part of the box design. Common options include corrugated paper, kraft paper, white cardboard, art paper, and specialty paper, while different box structures can be combined with appropriate printing and finishing processes. For example, corrugated paper can be considered when the packaging needs greater structural protection, while kraft paper may suit packaging that requires a natural paper appearance. White cardboard and art paper can be used when printed graphics and visual presentation are important.

PrimePackBox also supports customized box structures rather than limiting customers to fixed designs. Customers can provide a picture, reference drawing, product dimensions, or packaging concept, and the team can develop a suitable structure and material combination. Custom logo printing, artwork, coatings, lamination, foil stamping, and embossing can also be incorporated according to the project requirements.Our packaging specialists guide material and structure selection so every box protects the product effectively, optimizes shipping costs and elevates brand presentation—whether you need a simple mailer or a high-end unboxing experience.

2
Is there any environmental certification?

Yes. We offer FSC-certified paper options, along with recyclable paper stocks, soy-based inks, water-based glues, and plastic-free lamination alternatives. These options give brands more flexibility when developing packaging with sustainability requirements while still considering printing quality and packaging performance.

FSC materials are available upon request. If you need certificates or other supporting documents for your market, please let us know when requesting a quotation. For export orders, it is also helpful to provide the destination market and any specific environmental requirements at the beginning of the project. Our team can then check the relevant material and documentation requirements together with the packaging specifications.

We can also discuss recyclable packaging constructions and suitable finishing options based on your project. By confirming these requirements before production, we can help ensure that the selected materials and packaging specifications are aligned with your market and sustainability needs.

3
Can I not have custom design files?

Yes. You do not have to provide a completed custom design file before starting a packaging project. If you only have your logo, copywriting, reference images, product information, or an existing packaging example, these materials can be used as the starting point for developing your packaging. PrimePackBox provides custom packaging design support, and its designers can assist with creating packaging artwork when customers do not already have finished files.

Our team can also provide structural design suggestions based on the product dimensions, box style, material, and intended application. For more complex packaging requirements, additional design assistance can be arranged, with the related design cost calculated separately when applicable. Once the packaging design is prepared, the final production artwork is confirmed before sampling. A physical sample can then be produced so that the size, printing, and structure can be checked before mass production. This allows customers to move from an initial idea or reference image to a confirmed packaging design without having to prepare every design element independently.

4
How can I obtain the quotation?

To receive an accurate quotation from PrimePackBox, please provide the following key details so our packaging specialists can evaluate material usage, structure, and production complexity precisely:

1) Box type or a reference drawing/photo;

2) Exact internal dimensions (length × width × height);

3) Order quantity;

4) Preferred material and thickness (e.g., corrugated flute type or cardstock GSM);

5) Printing requirements and surface treatments (CMYK, Pantone, lamination, hot stamping, etc.);

6) Destination postal code or shipping address for freight estimation;

7) Whether a physical sample is needed.

The more complete the information, the closer our pricing will reflect real costs.

If you only have a rough concept, like product type, sales channel, or budget range, our consultants can still recommend suitable materials, styles, and reference cases. We then prepare structural design suggestions and a detailed quotation, turning uncertainties into clear, executable plans. This process ensures transparency and helps optimize both protection and cost from the outset.

5
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

At PrimePackBox, the standard minimum order quantity for custom packaging is 500 units, covering options such as corrugated mailers, rigid gift boxes, and folding cartons. This quantity gives us a practical production starting point while keeping setup and production costs under control.

We also accept small trial orders as well as larger-volume orders through our flexible OEM & ODM service. This works well for brands testing a new package, introducing a new product, or placing a smaller initial order before moving into regular production. Packaging can be customized to meet your requirements, including size, material, color, logo, printing, finishing, and box structure. For larger orders, production and material costs can generally be spread across more units, helping reduce the unit cost.

For a quotation, please send us the box type, dimensions, material, quantity, printing requirements, and any special finishing requirements. Our team will review the specifications and confirm the suitable production arrangement and pricing.

With rich industry experience and advanced technology, we have professional, innovative and excellent service quality. We provide customers with printing and packaging products such as paper boxes, gift boxes packaging, cosmetic packaging, corrugated gift boxes packaging, etc.
